Swire Properties’ Supplier Code of Conduct (“SCoC”) sets out the minimum standards and practices for our suppliers relating to legal and regulatory compliance, environmental protection, health and safety, labour practices, and other areas. This policy extends to subcontractors working on projects for Swire Properties.
We encourage our suppliers to have their own supplier codes of conduct in place, and we require that all suppliers adopt and implement policies and procedures that prevent bribery, corruption and fraud in their own operations. Suppliers whose goods and services demonstrate strong ESG performance and can contribute to reducing climate and environmental impacts are preferred in the supplier selection process and favoured in contract awarding. Suppliers that fail to comply fully with our SCoC risk termination of their contracts and removal from our approved contractors list.
Sustainable Procurement Policy
Guided by our Supplier Code of Conduct (“SCoC”), Swire Properties’ Sustainable Procurement Policy sets out minimum requirements for suppliers and relevant subcontractors covering legal and regulatory compliance, environmental protection, occupational health and safety, labour standards, human rights, business ethics and anti‑corruption.
Sustainability considerations are embedded into our procurement governance and decision‑making processes to identify and manage environmental, social and climate‑related risks within our supply chain. All suppliers are required to comply with the SCoC, and are encouraged to maintain their own sustainability policies, supplier codes of conduct and effective business ethics controls. We give preference to suppliers with strong ESG performance that can support the management of climate‑related risks and opportunities, including those that disclose greenhouse gas emissions, set credible decarbonisation targets, adopt recognised management systems, and offer products or services that reduce lifecycle environmental impacts. Through ongoing engagement, we seek to strengthen supply chain resilience and align procurement outcomes with our long‑term sustainability and climate objectives.
